Directions
1. Brown ground beef with chopped onion and bell pepper in large saucepan on medium heat. Drain.
2. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, green chilies, jalapeno, chili powder, cumin, basil, garlic and beef broth.
3. Drain beans and add to mixture. Turn heat to low.
4. Cut pork or chicken in small chunks. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in skillet and meat until no longer pink in center. Remove from skillet with slotted spoon and add to chili mixture.
5. Simmer, covered, for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

*Mild Chili: Omit green chilies and jalapeno.
