Pasta Alfredo

Ingredients
  • 4 large mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 4 ounces fettuccine or linguine
Directions
  • 1. In medium skillet, sauté mushrooms in butter on medium high heat. Whisk in flour and salt.
  • 2. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and milk. Simmer 5 to 10 minutes or until gravy-like thickness. Stir in Parmesan cheese.
  • 3. Add pepper and parsley flakes. Let simmer 15 minutes.
  • 4. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain.
  • 5. Serve sauce over pasta.

Directions
  • 1. Grill and season 1 chicken breast half.
  • 2. Cut into strips.
  • 3. Place on noodles just before adding sauce.
