Glazed Carrots

Ingredients
  • 5 carrots
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon ginger or nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
  • 1. Peel carrots and slice on bias. Place in medium saucepan.
  • 2. Add just enough water to cover carrots.
  • 3. Place lid on saucepan and bring to a full boil. Lower heat to medium and continue to cook covered until carrots fork tender, about 5 minutes. Drain.
  • 4. Add butter, sugar, ginger or nutmeg and salt to carrots.
  • 5. Stir over low heat until carrots are glossy.
