1. Remove stems from cauliflower and break florets into small pieces.
2. Place pieces in colander and wash thoroughly.
3. Break egg into medium bowl and beat with whisk. Add cauliflower to egg and toss until all pieces are coated. Remove from egg and place in colander to drain.
4. Measure flour, salt and pepper into plastic freezer bag. Add cauliflower. Seal top of bag and shake to dust all the florets.
5. Pour cauliflower pieces from bag into dry colander. Shake lightly to remove excess flour.
6. In 12" skillet, fry in hot oil until golden brown.
7. Reduce heat to low. Cover pan and continue to cook on low heat until tender but not mushy. Remove lid and fry for few more minutes.
8. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
