Lettuce Wedge Salad

Ingredients
  • 1/4 head iceberg lettuce
  • 2 small tomatoes
  • 2 slices bacon, fried crisp
  • Chunky Bleu Cheese Dressing
Directions
  • 1. Remove core from lettuce head and wash under cold running water.
  • 2. Place on cutting board and cut a wedge from the head, about 1/4 of the lettuce head. Cut wedge in half, making 2 wedges.
  • 3. Place each of the two wedges in a shallow salad bowl.(Bag and refrigerate remaining lettuce for later use.)
  • 4. Cut tomatoes into wedges and add to plate. Crumble bacon and sprinkle over salad.
  • 5. Top lettuce wedge with 2 tablespoons bleu cheese dressing.
  • 6. Garnish with bleu cheese crumbles, if desired.

Chunky Bleu Cheese Dressing
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 ounces bleu cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
  • 1. Combine all ingredients. Makes 1 cup.
  • 2. This makes a thick dressing. For thinner dressing, add a little milk.
