Cole Slaw

Ingredients
  • 4 cups cabbage, diced*
  • 1/2 cup carrots, diced*
  • 1 tablespoon onion, minced
  • 1/4 cup milk**
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar**
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice**
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
  • 1. In a mixing bowl, combine cabbage, carrots and onion. Set aside.
  • 2. In another bowl, blend together milk, vinegar, lemon juice, mayonnaise, sugar, pepper and salt. Stir with whisk until well blended.
  • 3. Pour over cabbage mixture and toss well with fork.
  • 4. Cover. Refrigerate until well chilled, about 2 hours.

Tips

*Substitute packaged coleslaw mix.

**Substitute 1/2 cup buttermilk.
