Stir-Fry Beef with Asparagus or Green Beans

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon red cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, crushed
  • 3/4 pound ribeye steak
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 pound fresh asparagus or green beans
  • 1 (5.95 ounce) can straw mushrooms, drained
Directions
  • 1. Combine water, soy sauce, cornstarch, black pepper, red pepper and garlic. Mix well and set aside.
  • 2. Slice steak thin and stir-fry in oil until no longer pink. Remove from skillet.
  • 3. Wash asparagus or green beans and break off ends. Leave whole or slice diagonally into 1" pieces. Stir-fry until crisp tender.
  • 4. Add soy sauce mixture. Cook about 1 minute or until thickened. Stir in meat and drained mushrooms.
  • 5. Serve hot over noodles or rice.
