Chicken Teriyaki Grill

Ingredients
  • chicken breasts or thighs
Directions
  • 1. Cover chicken with Teriyaki Sauce or other marinade and place in covered container.
  • 2. Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
  • 3. Grill or broil until well browned and no longer pink in center. Brush on extra sauce, if desired.
Teriyaki Sauce
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
Directions
  • 1. In saucepan, combine sugar, soy sauce, cold water and cornstarch. Stir to dissolve sugar. Cook on medium heat until mixture comes to a boil and is thickened, about 2 minutes.
  • 2. Serve with grilled chicken, pork or seafood.
Servings
  • Makes 2 cups
Tips

Variation: For Oriental flavor, add ¼ teaspoon crushed garlic and 1/8 teaspoon crushed ginger.
