Banana Pudding

Ingredients
  • 1/2 (12 ounce) box vanilla wafers
  • 3 large bananas
  • 1 (5.1 ounce) instant vanilla pudding mix*
  • 1 1/2 cups meringue or whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts, optional
Directions
  • 1. Prepare instant pudding according to pie instructions on package.
  • 2. Layer ingredients in 1 1/2 quart clear serving bowl as follows: Vanilla wafer to cover bottom of bowl; Slice 1 banana over wafers; Spoon 1 cup pudding over bananas; Continue until you have 3 layers each of wafers, bananas and pudding. Cover top with extra wafers; Top with meringue or whipped cream and sprinkle with nuts, if desired.
  • 3. Refrigerate until well chilled.

*Substitute 3 cups favorite vanilla or banana pudding.
