2. In mixing bowl, cream butter, shortening, sugar and egg.
3. In another bowl, combine flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.
4. Gradually stir flour mixture into creamed mixture until well blended.
5. In another bowl, mix 1 tablespoon sugar and cinnamon.
6. Shape into 1" balls and roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture.
7. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
8. Bake 10 minutes or until tops are cracked and cookies are lightly browned. Remove from pan and cool on rack.
