Marshmallow Brownies

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup baking cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups chopped nuts, optional
  • 1 10 ounce package mini marshmallows
  • Chocolate Frosting
Directions
  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2. In mixing bowl, cream cocoa, sugar, butter and eggs.
  • 3. Add flour, vanilla and nuts. Spread in ungreased 9" x 13" pan and bake 25 minutes.
  • 4. Remove from oven and scatter enough marshmallows to cover top of brownies.
  • 5. Return to oven and bake exactly 3 minutes. Cool one hour.
  • 6. Frost with Chocolate Frosting when cooled (Cover edges well with frosting.)
Servings
  • Makes 2 dozen
Tips

For best results: Let stand several hours after frosting.

Chocolate Frosting
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
Directions
  • Combine and beat until smooth.
