Christmas Wreaths

Ingredients
  • 32 large marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
  • 2 teaspoons green food coloring
  • 4 1/2 cups corn flakes cereal
  • Red hot candies (or other small round red candies)
Directions
  • 1. In saucepan, melt marshmallows and butter. Remove from heat.
  • 2. Stir in extract and food coloring. Add corn flake cereal. Stir well.
  • 3. Drop by tablespoons onto wax paper and shape into wreaths. (It helps to butter fingers slightly.)
  • 4. Immediately press on three candies, spaced evenly, to decorate.
  • 5. Leave on wax paper, uncovered, until set.
