1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom only of 9"x13" pan.
2. In mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
3. In another bowl, cream sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla. Gradually stir flour mixture into creamed mixture.
4. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
5. Spread in prepared pan and bake 28 to 30 minutes. Brownies are done when top is glossy and small cracks begin to form. Cool completely.
6. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or frost with chocolate frosting. Cut into squares.

Tips
Butterscotch chips, peanut butter chips or mint chips can be substituted for all or part of chocolate chips.
