cream of tartar

cold water

vanilla extract
Directions

1. Place egg whites in mixer bowl.

2. In small saucepan, mix sugar, salt, cream of tartar and cold water. Bring to a full boil over medium heat.

3. Slowly pour boiled mixture over egg whites while beating at medium speed. Add vanilla.

4. Beat high speed until stiff peaks form.
Tips
Frosts 9" layer cake or 9" x 13" cake.
