Party Root Beer
Ingredients
- 4 quarts water
- 3 cups sugar
- 4 teaspoons root beer extract
- 2 pounds dry ice
Directions
- 1. Mix all ingredients, except dry ice, in a punch bowl or large salad bowl.
- 2. Using a hammer or meat tenderizer, break dry ice into large chunks while it is still in a paper bag. Wear oven mitts to drop the dry ice into the root beer.
- 3. Stir every five minutes until most of the dry ice is melted. It takes about 30 minutes for root beer to carbonate.
- 4. Serve immediately.
